After working on many components from multiple design systems, a question come up in my head –– what’s my favorite components that I’ve designed? This zine is my way to answer this question.

  • Initially the idea was compiling multiple design library with a starkly different style to each other. The first design style that came up in my mind was pixelated style.

  • But after working on it for a while, I love the process and the end result, and I don’t want to stop. So I decided to just keep using the pixelated style for all components.

Here are some of the designs that I made during the process. I’ve settled on using a pixel-style format to make it more interesting and give an old technology feel to it. This is truly one of my favorite personal project of all time.

This is the first zine that I designed and printed by myself. Also, because mostly I was working on website or apps, it has been a while for me to print my own design work. I do wish I spend more time in exploring on the colors, what works in the printing result and what’s not. But I still love the final result, and take it as a lesson for my next zine.
